CAPITAL CAMPAIGN
Dear friend:
My name is Adriane Galea; I am the Executive Director and Lead Instructor for Arts Detroit, as well as the Artistic Director of Outvisible Theatre Company in Allen Park, downriver’s first professional union theater. Together with the Center Stage Board, I’m reaching out to you as a member and supporter of the Allen Park community who has a vested interest in the growth of professional opportunities.
Originally beginning in 2005 as the Adriane Galea Studio of Voice & Piano, Center Stage Studios (a 501(c)(3) organization) is the parent organization of Outvisible Theatre Company and Arts Detroit. Arts Detroit offers direct acting and voice educational opportunities such as private and group arts instruction, camps, performance and competitive opportunities, workshops with Broadway professionals, and more to aspiring artists. Outvisible Theatre Company offers theatrical productions that are thought-provoking, fresh, relevant and smart, while striving to keep programming affordable and when possible, free.
After two years of successfully operating out of a studio with a multi-functional 20-40-person Blackbox space and two small music rooms for private lessons, we outgrew our studio home and have just recently transitioned into a larger space as of January 2019. Access to the larger space allows for further studio space for educational opportunities, including the addition of dance education, and a larger performance area, which in turn will provide further access and opportunity for the arts in the downriver community.
Since launching our capital campaign in October 2018, we have received generous support leading to the successful transition to our new building. In order to successfully renovate this building, we are still counting on support from the Allen Park and Metro Detroit communities. Our continuing vision to be a premier theatre and performing arts education destination in Metro Detroit is flourishing, but we really need the community’s help to take the next step. Any contributions to our capital campaign will go directly towards the necessary renovations to our new building needed to support our top-notch programming.
Renovating our new space is our top-priority, and we would greatly appreciate any contribution to our capital campaign. Enclosed, please find information and levels for our capital campaign. Should you choose to donate, you will be supporting an organization that lives its passion by crafting stories and storytellers with honesty through art and imagination.
